Year 7
The Australian Islamic College is unique in offering this program, which helps our primary school students prepare successfully for the transition to High School.
All students spend their final Primary term (Year 7) at the High School campus. There they become familiar with High School life and its requirements in preparation for their move in the following year.
High School staff conduct many of the upper school lessons to help with the academic transition from Primary to High School. As part of this program a number of scholarships are awarded to talented and well-behaved students who intend to study at the AIC in year 8.
The completion of Year 10 signifies a milestone from an academic viewpoint. Decisions that are made concerning Year 11 and onwards have a huge effect on University Entrance and what Subjects can be studied.
AIC offers guidance at this early stage in life to ensure that students make the best selection of subjects in regard to their future goals. Exceptional support services such as one-to-one tuition, weekend classes, weekly evaluation and progress monitoring are all carried out to further assist students in gaining admission into their desired year 11 and 12 courses. Students are given counselling and guidance when required and are given an early start to Year 11 and Year 12 subjects to ensure that the subjects they have chosen are the best possible subjects for the individual.
