Australian Islamic College Perth proudly marked an important milestone on Monday, 20 July 2026, with the official opening of the new High School General Classroom Building and Administration Building at the AIC Forrestdale campus.

The opening represents another significant step in the continued growth and development of Australian Islamic College and reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to providing students with high-quality learning environments that support academic excellence and Islamic values.

The High School General Classroom Building was officially opened by Hon Ayor Makur Chuot MLC, Member of the Legislative Council of Western Australia. The new facility provides dedicated learning spaces to support the continued growth of the high school and enhance the educational experience of students at AIC Forrestdale.

The Administration Building was officially opened by Mr Yaz Mubarakai MLA, Parliamentary Secretary to the Attorney General; Minister for Commerce; Tertiary and International Education; and Multicultural Interests. The new administration facility will further support the operational needs of the growing campus and its school community.

The occasion also featured a special Paper Launch with Aftab Malik, Australia’s Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia, hosted by Br Abdullah Khan, Executive Principal and CEO of Australian Islamic College Perth.

The Paper Launch provided an opportunity for members of the AIC community and distinguished guests to come together for meaningful discussion and reflection on the importance of education, inclusion, community and fostering greater understanding.

The development of the Forrestdale campus forms part of the College’s broader commitment to meeting the educational needs of a growing community. AIC has continued to invest in the development of its campuses and facilities to ensure students have access to learning environments that are equipped to support their academic, personal and spiritual development.

The opening of these new facilities is particularly significant for AIC Forrestdale as the campus continues to expand its high school offering. Earlier development plans identified the need for dedicated high school facilities and administration spaces as part of the campus’s ongoing growth.

Australian Islamic College extends its sincere appreciation to the distinguished guests, staff, students, families and community members who joined us for this special occasion. Their support and contribution continue to play an important role in the growth and success of the College.

As AIC Forrestdale enters this new chapter, these facilities stand as a testament to the College’s vision for the future — providing students with opportunities to pursue academic excellence while being nurtured through Islamic values and principles.

Alhamdulillah, this milestone marks not only the opening of new buildings, but another step forward in building a strong and vibrant future for the AIC community.
