As the blessed month of Rabbi-ul-Awal is upon us, we would like to bring forward an important message of the significance of kindness and love.
The main idea of the video was to correctly portray the Hadith Narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Every Act of Kindness is Charity.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 6021)
In late August, the film was shot with actors and members of Perth’s Muslim community. Alanna Starkey, the lead female performer in her first appearance, is an AIC student, and Jared Herft, the lead male performer, has appeared in various TV spots, including a recent HBF campaign.
The idea came about after director Wade Savage was approached by Tamjid Aijazi of Australian Islamic College to assist create a positive image for AIC and to bring forth the values being instilled into the students at AIC.
“They wanted a project that explored themes of faith, community and connection and didn’t want something that felt like just another corporate video.” said Director Wade Savage after the release of the film.
