At the College our goal is to foster a community of learners and critical thinkers who are future-ready, passionate in their endeavors, creative, optimistic in their outlook, and who will find their place as outstanding individuals and future leaders in the global community. As educators we provide opportunities to equip students with the knowledge and skills to embrace change, demonstrate for self, others and the environment and develop our students as life-long learners. We believe reading is crucial to develop students as life-long learners. Proudly our Kewdale campus library resources and facilities is one of the tools to provide students opportunities to become a good reader and a life-long learner.
The school library opens from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.
At AIC we believe literacy is essential to children’s development. We aim to foster a love of reading in all students by providing a diverse array of reading materials in a friendly and ambient environment. The school library is an open and safe space for students that supports all teaching and learning programs and ensures the information needs of students are met. Our library has an extensive range of fiction and non-fiction books to enhance our students learning experience. It provides a large range of both traditional and modern research tools, resources and references that can enhance the critical thinking, communication, literacy and research skills of our students.
The library has designated private study for Year 11 & 12 students with computer access for research. A comfortable reading area has been set aside near the fiction section for quiet reading.
The library more than 50 Laptops that can be used for students before school, at recess and lunch time.
In Kewdale campus, there are separate libraries for the Primary and High School.
The libraries hold over 18,000 books and video tapes. The Library consists of the following areas:
- Fiction & non-fiction
- The reference area
- Internet research section that consists of 18 computers.
- Teacher Resources (text books, Year 11 and 12 study guides, NAPLAN resources, past WACE exam papers etc.
- The Islamic Room that contains a valuable collection of Islamic books both in English and Arabic.
- The Accelerated Reading section that has 12 computers for students to do their reading test.
- Quiet area for Year 12 students for private study under supervision during their study periods.
- Scholastic Book Fair to encourage students reading.
- Adding on new resources and facilities is an ongoing process.
AIC Digital Library
AIC library provides access to an excellent Digital library portal with age-appropriate eBooks and Audiobooks available for all the staff and students. Students can Ask Librarian’’ for their username and password to access to

Transperth Smart Rider
Transperth SmartRider cards are issued through the library. They are used to access public transport and to borrow library resources.
Printing and Photocopying
Students can top up their PaperCut account for school printing and photocopying in the library.
