Assalamu Alaikum, Alhamdullilah, we have had a flying start to Term Two in  Pre Primary. The STEM project for this term was to create a plane. The boys and girls were excited to have the opportunity to create their own individual design.  Afterwards the children flew and appraised their plane design which they had also drawn onto paper. Our Eid Celebration Party took place  on the first Friday of Term two and the boys and girls were excited to wear their traditional or new  clothes as well as be involved in both fun and educational games to celebrate this important event. We would like to take this opportunity to compliment the Kindergarten children on how well they have all settled back into class routines this semester. They have managed to retain and follow many new routines given to them very quickly. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatulahi Wabarakatuh, Alhamdulillah, after facing Covid19 restrictions in Term 1, this term we are allowed to conduct our morning assembly, pray together in the Mosque, excursions and incursions. It is wonderful to see our Kindy and Pre-Primary students enjoy and have fun with their new playground equipment. They have fun playing in the new big sand pit. This term, access to and from the early Childhood is available, Alhamdulillah and this definitely makes teaching and learning much more smoother. Asalaamu'alaykum Dear Community, Alhumdulilah the H.P.E. department has been involved in multiple interschool activities over the last four weeks. In Term 2, the HASS Department arranged a commemoration for Anzac Day which was held at Assembly. Year 11 students Yara and Noora Soliman made the presentation, in which they provided a brief history of the origins and story of the Anzacs and why they are so integral to the Australian identity. Yara composed a moving and beautifully written poem highlighting the tragedy of war and remembering the sacrifice made by all those who participate in wars all over the world, on both sides. A career counselling session was conducted for the students of Year 10, 11 & 12 by UWA at the school recently.  The Students were made aware of the various pathways for university entrance, career opportunities after conducting a degree in a specific field, and lucrative scholarships that they are offered in various courses.UWA representative highlighted the criteria required for admission in the University, emphasising, the students need to work hard in their college.The UWA representative emphasized that the students must have in-depth knowledge of the subject choices, otherwise they might end-up in a career that is not made for them.
